If that ain't love then I don't know what love is.

For the benefit of those who keep asking me about my 14th of feb... Here's how i spent my valentine's on sunny Singapore (while some people took ultra romantic pictures in front of a cathedral)... Dozo at Rivervalley. I will attempt to remember the names of all the courses we had... it was in all a tantalizing experience! firstly why lunch? dinner was fully booked at all other places the poor guy wanted to go! and also going out at night means we'll take 4 times longer to walk to the car because the amount of opportunists are INSANE this year!!!!!!! u can't walk more than 15 steps without being approached to get "the cheapest flowers in the whole of orchard... $8 only!" omg give me a break man, and no i don't want your stuff toy bouquet for the 6th time.
This was basically ice blended mango, for us to clear our palettes before the 7 course meal! Apparently they didn't put in tequila since i looked underage (but i reckon it's because they thought i had certain religious dietary restrictions) HAH in any case, i wasn't too happy when the waiter told me that i just look youthful, i think they should have asked. (oh please man save that for a woman in her 40s! i don't need it when i'm 19...) assumptions kill, not pleased.
These are delicious spicy soba sticks! yes! they actually coated japanese noodles with curry powder, chili flakes and cheese! yummy, i love spicy food (; i reckon the mango was to cleanse this one- these treats had a rather strong flavour.

the starter (part 1)
the starter (part 2)- the reason why i had to split this up was basically because the platter was long, and i wanted a close-up shot. it was smoked salmon wrapped around avacado topped with cream , scallop drizzled with some yellow sauce (it was my fave) and lastly foie gras. i'm not a huge fan of foie gras, never was in fact. the squishy texture was just unbearable. yuck, and the poor goose had to be overfed till its liver was bursting to get what's on my plate. so i have to eat it- just so it won't die in vain.
Cold dish - duck breast on greens with a papadum and cranberry sauce. mostly good esp the duck breast & papadum combi, but disappointed with the quality of the vegetables served. i can't be eating something from NTUC for the price i'm paying. ugh.
Daryl's sashimi platter. the salmon slices were ORGASMIC. heavenly. hahaha, i might sound like a suaku to you, but i've never had good sashimi before.

Appetizer! Butter sauce drenched escargots with cheese! Good. What more can i say? i love escargots. (which is pretty strange, i'd rather eat snails than goose liver) ...this was the only thing off the menu that daryl and i didn't fight over. i thought i had to chope it first! hah!
my darling*... *only for today because usually he's just known as oei. oh and that's his soft shell crab tempura
Soup- mushroom soup. sounds boring right? BECAUSE DARYL TOOK MY CRAB BISQUE. thanks man u rock. i've got this thing against choosing the same food as someone. anyway this was by far the best mushroom soup i ever tasted ;D and the black thing on the spoon's some really expensive mushroom i think. the flavour was awesome, wish i could remember the name /:
my main course! by this time i was D-Y-I-N-G. i thought it was supposed to be gourmet?!?! anyway this is grilled cod. i didn't finish this, neither could daryl finish mine coz we were both dying. hahaha.
Daryl's tenderloin on a Japanese hotstone. super nice presentation! not sure about the beef though (i wanted this!) it looks like someone's minimalist garden instead of food -_-"
DESSERT! okay by now we were almost half-dead. in front: chocolate lava cake served with vanilla ice cream (verdict: 4.5 stars simply because i am still besotted by the one at Bistro Gaga). and two pots of Fruit tea: the AUTHENTIC fruit tea is mine whereas daryl likes weird things such as grapefruit (you can see the fat chunk of the evilest fruit in the universe floating in a pot in the background)
my matcha(: fave dessert, but i must say that peanuts should die! i hate nuts they taste horrible ): green tea ice cream with a strawberry wedge, served alongside japanese mochi filled with peatnut sauce, topped with the same crushed peanuts and a turd-like squeeze of red bean paste. i know i just wasted $$$ should have gone to MOF, azabusabo instead.. pardon my spelling errors if there are, im not the best speller around. especially when it comes to jap hanyupinyin hahahahahaha. -_-"

bride wars at 3.40 ( i was about to kill him actually coz i was really tired out by hall) which turned out to be quite nice but lacking in something im not quite sure what was it hahahahaha. yeah and i missed elise during the show ): i think she will be the one who would be screaming over a "green tiffany box" with me )": sob. anyway the night was spent AWAY from opportunists, at SSC then some place else i don't rmb haha.
this polariod was taken outside cine, when starhub approached us. nice eh?! hahahah IN YOUR FACE ELISE CHUA. *clears throat* okay back to what i was saying.
and at night(: roses once again just like how i like it. no fancy ribbons or pink wrappers haha thanks for the effort daryl it was fun spending time w u on a commercialised, blood sucking, cringe-worthy but otherwise lonely day.... (o:
