ah shit. i didn't intend for the photos to turn out large, but i'm too lazy to reupload them so here goes. i tried baking rainbow cupcakes this weekend, and they turned out looking like diasasters, but at least i managed to get the intended effect...this is a reason why. the inside was screwed up. i never took physics but i reckon it's a convention current of some sort. it was supposed to be multi layered. like kueh lapis.
if i were to be a science teacher i'd use the muffins to teach the whole idea of convention currents. hahahahha. that is if i'm even scientifically correct. and i don't think i am. then again i might traumatize a whole class or more of kids, so i guess child-care isn't really my thing.

ahhhh yes this is the right picture. the intended effect (rainbow) actually shows here. haha. i had to divide the batter into 6 freaking portions and colour them ONE BY ONE. roygbiv !!!!! but honestly, when you eat the damn thing all you see is red (like a freaking hell load of red) yellow green blue. *$(^$!@£(@!&£(!

more cake-whoring. haha. anyway, see the cupcake with a green blob? anyway the green portion rose during baking (&@!^£!@) i swear i was freaking out like a mad woman. eventually i gave the cupcake to joce who exclaimed, "omg is that mould?!?!?"

wa lau heart break. (emotional trauma too) i will never bake again. but i thought it tasted like a normal cupcake, although the colour might put one off initially (yah i know i put too much okay. marder.. i was following the recipe). xun said "it doesn't taste like how it looks." plus "it looks like candy!" so i don't know if it's a good or bad thing, i don't wanna think about it. but well Daryl says its nice but i ignored him because it's biased. so friends, if i didn't offer a cupcake to u be glad, because i love u guys too much to put u through suffering... ha ha ha.
