learning to fly...

well, my exchange experience has been a crazy one thus far... involving so much crazy things which i'd never thought i'd do ever... in some ways i'm pretty glad i chose to step out of my comfort zone to a place up north which is freezing most of the time. i don't think i'd have experienced this much if i chose somewhere comfortable like california.

this month alone was so much fun i still can't believe how much i've experienced in such a short span of time... trying out all sorts of insane moves on skates (which i wouldn't usually do in singapore considering how bad i am at winter sports), cooking so much and almost burning the kitchen down, cleaning the house and toilet, giving g33k movies a chance, having wii, waffles and ice cream parties, shopping like the world will end tomorrow, skiing and screaming down slopes, flying airplanes and pretending to talk pilot lingo to confuse ZQ hahaha.......

good times! we're planning a trip down to new orleans soon i hope, for the upcoming mardi gras!!! i hope it works out somehow... really love the people here. oh well.

here are pics from the recent flight to West Virginia!

us headed to Butler county, about an hour's drive from oakland to board ZQ's baby.

ZQ's fave plane. i kinda like this shot, if not for the open door.

us boarding the plane (or at least pretending to)

compass of sorts on the dashboard.

downtown oakland from up above! downtown's really unhappening here, plus it isn't really the place to be at night. oakland's much safer and strangely the malls aren't located downtown, but the slumps are. haha.

co-pilot deborah taking over :D

i was afraid to die so that pretty much explains why im holding on to the steer like that. lol.

private access to the runway! and the guys think they're so cool. ha ha ha.

ROFLMAO there's a story behind this pic lollllllllll

dominic taking over the controls! ZQ says im a much steadier pilot than dom! HAHAHA plus dom's supposed to be doing better considering that the wind was in his favour, not mine!

all of us.. check out dom's retarded face.

my school from up in the air.... this is Pitt.

approaching Butler ):

pretty fun, can't wait for the next flight to Niagara Falls in april or whenever the weather becomes warmer!

now, moving on to shopping at Ross Park Mall and our virgin Mount Washington experience on Friday! Free day! heeheehee...

We then hit a place at Station Square for dinner cos we were FAMISHED.... this is Joe's Crab Shack

YUM!

Orange infused beer! Awesome!

Mount Washington! More about it from Wiki...

Mount Washington is a neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's south city area. It has a zip code of 15211 and has representation on Pittsburgh City Council by both the council members for District 3 (Central South Neighborhoods) and District 2 (West Neighborhoods).

It is known for its steep hill overlooking the Pittsburgh skyline, which was rated the second most beautiful vista in America by USA Weekend (and the best urban vista); its funiculars, the Duquesne and Monongahela Inclines, which are the oldest continuous inclines in the world; and for the row of upscale restaurants paralleling the crest of Mount Washington, the hill the community sits upon.

Beautiful isn't it?

the view from the top of Mt Washington can certainly disgrace the "singapore skyline" from the Flyer. plus this is completely free if you have a car.

Ok now i need to hit my books! CIAO!

OH and an a completely random and unrelated note, I was at Hollister at Ross Park, and the manager asked me if i was keen to work for them! *squeals* hahahahahahahahehehehehehehe what a compliment again! :D:D too bad the whole Visa thing prevents me from doing so.... sigh....

and btw the hollister cutting's so awesome on meeeee yay!
