i've been wanting to have breakfast at coca cafe for the longest time! finally managed to satisfy my coca cravings (haha)... coca cafe is located in a Lawrenceville, a neighbourhood in Pittsburgh which is about a 8-10 minute drive from Oakland.

woke up at 8.20am just for this.... it was FREEZING today at -14°C, my thermals were completely not working at all!!! bracing myself for the stronger winds, colder temperatures and crazier snowstorms which will come upon us in Feb... Miami save me!!! (by the way, we still haven't chosen our getaway destination...)

tucked away in Lawrenceville, with slightly tinted window panes! you probably can't spot it here!

the cosy interior
getting hungry!
greeted by cups of heavenly good hot chocolate. yum. will do anything for this moment.
finally, my french toast, covered with pear, apples & fig puree (sounds weird but it tastes really good together) and berries. YUMMMMMMYYY.
american breakfast. looks so typically american. ugh. i'm loving the orange on the side though, pretty :)
wild mushroom omelet alongside cinnamon rolls........ the cinnamon rolls are INCREDIBLY GOOD. they actually melt in your mouth. i don't even know how to describe it, but i'm just gonna order it the next time i come back again... which is in the very near future hahahhahaha.

Verdict? Completely worth it. I have never tasted or had breakfast this good in quite a long time! Picotin back in Singapore is NOTHING compared to this. well, except seeing horses and riders walking to and fro haha. There's no way of getting a seat for Sunday brunch here at all unless you're willing to queue in the snow for 45 minutes. Now who said that Singaporeans are foodies? So are the people here!

Okay, back to planning what to bake tomorrow! Ciao!
