people've been asking me what have i been doing since the exams ended and why have i not been meeting them/going out/doing normal things. well that's basically because i have only a month to prepare for US and relax at the same time! i haven't been sleeping for 12 hours since my paper ended!!! each time i wound up in front of the TV just to chill i get msgs asking me to go out *criesss* but i guess i reserved the rest of the week for my friends so its okay...

i've since participated in a contest the morning after my paper, attended carol's surprise party after that, skipped don's cos i was SO tired at 10pm, collected my visa, gotten myself a cashmere trench coat and a wool pullover (trust me i took ages to decide what i want but now its complicated and im trying to change it for the woollen one coz it has double buttons which look super good). i actually went to town 3 days in a row and tried on the same jacket i think i made daryl so pissed hahahahhaha and in the end i got the cashmere one -_-. strike out the luggage since my dad was super nice in getting me a huge samsonite that i prolly can squeeze into... i am soooo so so exhausted. i found my APEC travel adaptor, which is so handy and small i like it haha. oh right and i paid for my tickets yesterday and tried hunting for backpacks.

i haven't gotten my jeans (x2), backpac for travel within the US (eyeing a new urban male one, that comes with a laptop protector), travel wallet, travel iron... ok basically i haven't even packed yet GRAHHH. there's still accommodation to settle!!!!!!! *@*(£!^£!@(£!@&£^ i haven't gotten my supplementary card, travel insurance...

oh and on a random note, i'm getting an iphone after im back from the staaatessss!!! "buy now for what? come back lah!" ok that's what mom said. I KNEW LIFE WOULD BE EASIER ONCE MY DAD GOT AN IPHONE HAHAHAHAHHAHA. :D in some ways i like my dad hahaha he aids the decision making process in some ways... generally it favours me. well, apart from his stupid ee pc decision and nobody wants it at home, everyone eventually gets what he gets. but he already has 4 computers, 1 i Mac for work, 1 i Mac for everyone to use, 1 17" Macbook pro for shoots and 1 ee pc (which is the dumbest thing ever i still ask him why he got it.. but i think its a sensitive issue coz he keeps claiming he didnt want it thaaaat much and it was on discount). my mom's tech dumb and uses only windows hahahah like how she uses only nokia and blackberry so that's her prob. my sis and i literally grew up on mac when it was a grey and big computer and played all the kiddy computer games on it. LOL.

anyway, back to the iphone thing.. he couldn't stop playing pinball when he got his iphone hahaha damn funny. my mom was like "EDWARD CAN YOU CLEAR THE TRASH!!! i already told u 3 times!". then came my dad's signature grunt. "STOP PLAYING WITH YOUR PHONE! I FEEL LIKE I AM TAKING CARE OF 3 KIDS" roflamaaaaooooo

i asked for a blackberry over the phone and what i got was "for what? you're not even working yet". -_- she's been having a blackberry for the longest time ever, i think when i was in pri 6 or sec 1 and she changes it so often i dont even know what's the difference anymore. all i remember was that the ancient models are so heavy you could die if someone hurled it at you. well what i said was "well mother u cld do a lot more with your berry apart from checking mail you know...."

oh and on a random note, one thing great about having no parents at home is choosing which car you want to drive! HAHAHAHAHAHHA provided you can bring it back in one piece. then again something bad about not having parents around, especially your dad, is that NO ONE CAN KILL FLYING ROACHES! hahah there was a roach in my sister's room at 2am this morning and she had to sleep in my parent's room hahaha.

anyway my dad will be back today, and i think he'll be able to kill that roach!

ok back to the topic on what i haven't done yet..

i haven't even started on party prep and I DONT EVEN HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR... totally the last thing on my mind.. hopefully i can get some serious shopping done on thurs & fri...!!

i thought my eyeshadow skills were damn good. yah, i know i'm very hao lian. hahahaha. just in case you can't see the blending... hahahah, i shall keep this here whenever i feel that i can't accomplish much in life....

it bugs me that most of the people who matter the most arent turning up.

its like being asked out to the movies and being played out on. not a nice feeling. two days since my last paper and i havent done a thing except my visa.... on another note, americans are SO paranoid. i had to undergo my interview through 2 panels of bulletproof glass. (another story all together) met quite a lot of fellow exchange students and i must say that there is a certain trend in the exchange students to america. 1) english speaking. completely english speaking hahaha. 2) a lot of guys (8 guys) , and only 2 girls. 3) going to either california, texas, florida or nyc. 4) not on scholarship, except the smu guy. 5) all chiong for visa apps on the same day. 6) a significant number of them were from njc.... o_o

HAHAHA.

BUT WHATEVERRR THE PAPERS ARE OVER!

caught new moon. HAHAHAHAHAH and i feel like a cougar. well i don't go for muscular guys, since i've the mindset that they're all brawn and no brain. besides, most of them tend to over do it and end up looking like the hulk which is pretty disgusting. i remember in sec sch there used to be this teacher who was like 1.7m pretty short, and he had like obscene muscles which made his head look tiny. its almost like an alien took over his body. yuck.

ANYWAY my point is.... JACOBBB!!!!!!!

hi, i'm still alive (albeit drowning under my notes)... i'm left with a lastlastLAST paper, the most important paper that i need to get a B+ (AT LEAST) for if not i can kiss honours goodbye. ): i am flying off on the 30th of december and counting down in nyc since the flight to pitt on my arrival reaches at 9pm = not safe. ): ):

there's so many things to do, like the party.. actually i'm kind of upset.... (but nevermind i shall not post this. liesel if you're reading this drop me a msg, i'm quite sad actually). ): ): ):

the rest of the week is jammed pack with events and stuff that i need to do. getting another bank account, a sup card, going to get my visa, and shop for jeans, coat, scarves, gloves.... and there's the party dress, someone's suprise bday, donovan's 21st and a testshot/photoshoot/screening/interview!! there's the nitty gritty shit i need to do as well, and its totally stressing me out. ): ): ): ): i havent even been taking care of my skin i think they will faint when they see me..... look like total crap. not like it even crosses my mind when i'm stressed.

the only saving grace this week was prob decorating daryl's house, ya i know no life right? but his family has this tradition of decorating the house different each christmas. which i kinda miss, coz my family doesnt give a shit about it anymore especially when the most sian part is keeping the stuff again. hahaha, i remember being so excited about decorating the place when i was younger... love to decorate spaces especially. can't wait to get my own place. anyway it made me feel slightly better about the week or rather my life.

ok im so stressed when i think about it i think i need to sleep.

I haven't blogged normally in a looong time.

I am FINALLY ACCEPTED BY PITT!! :D Lucky I woke up to Dom's sms about the confirmation email, if not I would've just cleared my spam! I can finally go shopping for a winter coat, gloves, jeans... HAHAHAH omg so excited. Hannah told me that Zara's carrying a whole range of really nice coats. I was there last week and omg it sucks that I always enter a shop wanting to buy everything! Haha.

Anyway the most important thing to do is the biometric passport and the visa! Note to self: bug Hannah and Dominic asap...

I'm done with *most* of my written assignments this semester. Got back some of my project grades, well, they aren't very satisfactory. )))): booooo. Econs is getting harder as the term goes by, I thought it was just me, but my tutor consoled me hahah! Anyway I really like my tutor! He's such a nice guy and explains Econs concepts so well!! :D

I also just collected the Holga shots, some of which turned out quite nice, but there was a cock up and they printed some photos that i didn't want >:( but i didn't check coz i waited my car along the side of the road at city hall and dashed into peninsula to collect the shots. So obviously I had to run out because it's town O_O

Brought Daryl for a surprise dinner on board the Singapore Flyer! (: I refused to give details about the dinner and stupid Amanda Lim blurted it out once, but thank goodness he didn't know what was going on haha! here are some pictures!

It was mummy's Very belated birthday last monday, straight after school! (: haha, my sis and I had a surprise planned for her, but it was really last minute. haha.
Roasted Duck Breast. Had less than 3 slices of it as I was sick, and the juices and gravy were BURNING my throat. Felt like a wreck that day.
Oysters! :) YUM! Practically had the whole thing to myself since I always get my way ;)

Check out Pirates on Skates! A BRAND NEW blog shop! Yes, it really IS that promising. You know, I've always had doubts about jumping into this competitive, overly saturated market (and I haven't made up my mind to anyway)... but Pirates on Skates is really REALLY unique for a new blogshop! :)

My gift from Daryl... *cough* I haven't bought anything yet. I was deliberating whether to use the word anniversary but I couldn't bring myself to... ewww. Anyway i'm not really a fan of the whole monthsary thing, let alone anniversaries! I think the Valentine's Day industry can just collapse coz of me. hahahahah. Oh right actually I don't even know when we got together.

This was served alongside the bread basket, and the cute italian pickles which i don't touch. This is Chicken Mousse, and it was really nice! omg but it was so tiny. haha.

There was a whole array of breads to choose from which is great because I love breads! ;) Plus the olive oil served along with it. I must say this was really different, I guess it's because I'm so used to Basalmic Vingear dips. This was good, you could fully appreciate the bread ;)

Tiramisu for desert! Haha, i've this Tiramisu test for each italian restaurant- I judge how good the restaurant is from their tiramisu! haha (ok i'm a little warped i know) but this was EXCELLENT. perfect portions as well!! ;) I'm not the kind who fancies quantity.

In all, I'd say that this was one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to, thanks Angela! :) Totally ownssss the previous ones that I've blogged and not blogged about.

Well that basically sums up our dinner. Took more shots with the Holga which I will be developing tomorrow!

just got back from a shoot. so super tired, having to wake up at 6.45am to reach there at 8 and film in the hot sun till 12 plus. my whole back is sunburnt! ): totally feel like shit, my eyes keep twitching at random intervals. will blog more about it in the near future...
